The Handouts

Resources on Technology, 21st Century Skills, and Adult Education

  • The Partnership for 21st Century Skills, or P21, has lots of resources on this topic, not specific to adult education, but very relevant. They also co-sponsored the management survey with the American Management Association
  • The National Education Technology Plan offers a good framework for thinking about adult education
  • Executive Summary of the American Management Association survey of 2,115 executives and managers about what skills they are looking for in their employees, which emphasizes the 4 C's - critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication
  • Excellent article on the evolution of Bloom's Taxonomy from the 50's to the 21st Century by Andrew Churches in Tech & Learning
